Job Title: UX/UI Designer

Manager: Associate Product Manager

Location: Los Altos, CA

FT/ PT: Contractor, 20 to 40 hrs per week depending on availability

Position Summary & Responsibilities

The UX/UI Designer is responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets. You will produce exceptional visual designs that are optimized for consumer and mobile first usability. Select responsibilities include:

• Support the development of UI/UX design strategy for the brand
• Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual, and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
• Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets; design CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user
• Provide input on UX research methodologies and testing activities

Minimum Qualifications

More than anything, we want people who care about their work, respect others and thrive on big challenges. But certain qualifications are important. The individual will have a strong passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UX/UI design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.

• A bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ UI/UX design experience for digital products
• A successful portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
• Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Visio, HTML, CSS, iOS, Android, and PWA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and be highly responsive
• Entrepreneurial savviness to think of the box
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functional teams as well as work individually

Professional office environment with remote work at times. Expect substantial exposure to technological devices, standard office equipment, and occasional travel if necessary. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time.
