UX Designer (Remote)

Your new company
My client are a leading provider of data & information to Commercial, Consumer & Government bodies. As part of rapid digital transformation, they require a UX Designer to join their project team for 6+ months (to the end of FY22). This role can be based remotely but will require regular travel to offices in Hampshire.

Your new role
My client are currently progressing a number of exciting projects designed to improve the way that customers access data, allowing them to do so in new and sophisticated ways. This includes providing a new way of letting customers pick the data they want to receive in a much more customised and granular fashion and share their custom datasets for the benefit of others in the community.

The new service (which is a web application) is already part-way though the research and design stage. The team have already built a broad set of wireframe concepts that have been evaluated with customers, and the project is in the start of the alpha build phase, where the bare-bones of a first version is being built and tested. The next phases are to work with the project team to define the final user journeys and wireframes.

As the UX Designer you will create detailed web app wireframes that can be used as points-of discussion between designers, product owners and technical architects. You will lead the process of user-testing those wireframes with customers in order to deliver insight back to the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified to relevant degree level (or equivalent commercial experience) or
• Demonstrable hands-on experience of delivering UX wireframing and testing
• Track record in influencing key business & technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of working within an AGILE delivery team
• Experience in designing for complex web-applications and purchase journeys highly desirable

What you'll get in return
You'll receive a daily rate of up to £450 with remote-working and occasional travel to offices in southern Hampshire. This role has been deemed In-Scope of the IR35 Regulations and therefore you will be required to work PAYE or via a vetted Umbrella Company. You will have the chance to work on exciting design projects within the organisation.
