Fullstack JavaScript Developer (Remote)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a JavaScript Developer to join an established Development team for the next 2 years to work within the established Data Services & Analytics team on the development of an existing Network Visualisation tool; Refactoring the code from Angular to React, refactoring data ingestion pipeline to process streamed data, and enhance the ability to perform increased analytical querying of the graph database.

As the JavaScript Developer ( Node.js ) you will be the technical lead of an existing product team. Working in an Agile environment you will be utilising your existing knowledge in languages/technologies such as; Typescript w/ React & Angular, Elasticsearch and Kubernetes.

Key skills for the JavaScript Developer;

• Expertise in Node.js, Angular & React JS.
• Expertise in front end development (single page javascript applications using typescript with react and angular)
• Experience of Elasticsearch and/or Graph databases
• Experience in CI/CD Pipelines, especially with Kubernetes
• Understanding of web services (particularly REST), their pitfalls and best practice
• Demonstrable significant experience of Agile ways of working
• Experience in supporting all aspects of user story development including analysis, testing and deployment
• Experience of the Government Digital Service's Design Principles and Digital Service Standard and its application to internal products and services.
• Some experience of supporting live systems.
