User Interface / Visual Designer

The UI Designer is part of EIS Digital Product + User Experience Team, responsible for fostering an effective user experience across all stages of business processes covered by EIS applications and products. The Digital Product Team is integral to defining the EIS persona-based application strategy and participating in a cross-functional team to execute the strategy and build products. As a member of the EIS Product team, the UI Designer will be a well-rounded design thinker and have a passion for visual and design solutions that are usable, useful, and satisfying. The right candidate will have a result and a performance-driven attitude with a strong sense of accountability.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design standard UI Components and style guides for company-wide use.
• Use existing design libraries and design systems with adherence to application requirements.
• Oversee the development and delivery of effective user interfaces.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, and leading the development of new products by setting the tone for future endeavors.

Skills:

• Expert knowledge of responsive design and grid principles.
• Expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques.
• Strong typography, layout and visual design skills.
• Expert knowledge of Sketch, Invision, Jira.
• Working knowledge of the ideation and creation of UI Design deliverables: user flows, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi layouts, prototypes.
  
• Proactive, independent working style.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Ability to present work to executives and large groups.
