UI, Frontend Developer Designer (Remote)

Position Brief

Merchant Protocol is a Conversion Rate Optimization Agency that builds Sales Funnels, enhances the conversion ability of e-commerce stores and manages advertising for clients.

We are a global group of experienced specialists in Development, Design and Sales. We work asynchronously from remote locations all over the world, using Trello, Slack and Github to manage our daily responsibilities.

We are looking for a fellow Frontend Developer with exceptional Magento experience that has the ability to hit the ground running. You must be able to work with Photoshop /Illustrator /InDesign to create wireframes, photography, graphics and user experiences, then implement those designs using Javascript, CSS5 and HTML5. We’re looking for an experienced and capable Frontend Developer.

You will be part of a global team of remote specialists that are responsible for all aspects of the on-going sales cycle from the initial specification, through developing, testing and launching. This is a REMOTE CONTRACT POSITION for an INDIVIDUAL with flexible but consistent hours. Agencies, recruiters and development houses need not apply.

Compensation packages start at $30,000 USD per year and are based upon applicant’s skill level and experience.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed wireframes, graphics, logos and more.

• User experience strategizing.

• Create and enhance user interfaces.

• Create Advertisements

• 100% of the project management is through GitHub and Trello. (Watch the video: How Github uses Github to build Github).

• Write “clean”, well formatted code (ie., PEAR Standards, and Magento Standards of Coding apply).

• Meeting deadlines by knowing what does NOT need to be done, is a must.

• Regression test every time you complete an issue to ensure stable releases.

• Manage your Focus and Concentration to stay on topic throughout the day.

Technical Skills

• Magento v1 and v2

• Photoshop, Illustrator, Wireframing tools

• Git, HTML5, CSS3, and Magento XML

• Javascript, Prototype, and jQuery with a side of AngularJS and NodeJS

Requirements

• Must be able to type grammatically correct English

• 5+ yrs of Frontend Development experience is a must

• 3+ yrs of Magento experience is a must

• 3+ yrs of freelance and/or business experience managing yourself

• Provide three user interface screenshots that you’ve created
