A position has arisen for a UAT Migration Tester for a leading Public Sector body in the South West to work with a project team to migrate core applications to a cloud compute environment. You will be involved in developing manual UAT test scripts and plans for migrating and testing applications, databases and infrastructure pre and post migration from an On Premises Data Centre to an Azure Cloud Solution. It is a 3 month contract initially and paying up to £425 Ltd umbrella per day depending on experience.

Please note this role is inside of IR35.

Your duties will include:

• Engaging with stakeholders to develop UAT scripts and build test schedules in accordance to agreed standards and best practices
• Working with the DevOps team and 3rd Party Vendors, ensuring migrated applications are user acceptance tested
• Identifying test objectives, planning and documenting test strategies
• To identify, communicate and respond to product and test activity risks
• Analysing requirements for testing in order to establish and prioritise test conditions, select suitable test cases and test techniques
• To ensure readiness for testing of applications
• Designing, building and executing test scripts that can verify the application and satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements
• Reporting test results
• To carry out continuous improvement of testing software solutions
• Visiting multiple sites when needed

The successful candidate should have:

• 4 + years experience of migration testing with a special focus on UAT Test script development
• Experience of working in Azure DevOps is desirable
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, such as Application Insights and Microsoft Operations
