TEST LEAD (SQL /JAVA/ HP QUALITY CENTRE)

This role involves working on a variety of projects, making sure that our delivered solutions are performing for our customers as expected - using the latest development tools. Key responsibilities and activities for the TEST LEAD (SQL /JAVA/ HP QUALITY CENTRE)

• Responsible for definition of Test Strategies and Test Plans to support Customer Project and Product software deliveries
• Responsible for the management, reporting and tracking of test phases
• Accountable for the creation and execution of manual/automated test suites covering system, assembly, integration, regression and NFR testing
• Oversee design and execution of test scripts that provide testing coverage of new and modified functionality along with regression testing within the software development lifecycle.
• Managing the daily workload of Testers and giving direction on projects
• Working with the offshore delivery team
• Mentoring and training of internal team members
• Defect management and reporting - Communicating defect issues to PMO and back to the client upon request
• Point of contact for the Client in relation to testing and release activity
• Communicating all test issues effectively and executing procedures to arrive at the suitable fix
• Support client acceptance testing defect management and release processes.

Essential skills & experience for the TEST LEAD (SQL /JAVA/ HP QUALITY CENTRE)

• Software testing experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience of recognised Test Management tools (VSTS, HP Quality Centre etc.)
• Strong understanding of different testing techniques and approaches with the insight to know when best to use them
• Experience of leading, scripting and execution automated regression/performance testing
• Formal documentation creation
• Demonstrable experience in managing/leading the QA element of multiple software development projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• 4+ years of industry experience developing and testing software
• Experience of delivering test automation suites
• Experience with Angular, SQL, Java, Enterprise Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, .NET and C#
• Knowledge of automation frameworks
• Improving code quality through interaction with the development team
• Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
