Job Summary:
Manage/Monitor system performance using Viewpoint, PDCR, setting workload management (TASM) policies, query performance tuning.
Consult on physical database implementations, PPI, skew analysis, join methods and data access paths.
Implement and administer security policies in accordance with corporate standards.
Automation of support process using shell scripting, Teradata Stored Procedures/Macros.
Support Teradata Hardware / Software including TTU, TPT and TD Studio. Knowledge of ETL/SQL Tools etc.
Provide 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
5 + years of experience as Teradata DBA
Experience working in Large scale Teradata environments.
Experience working on Teradata DBMS latest releases 15.10
Experience in using Teradata tools and utilities SQL Assistant, TD studio, Viewpoint, ARC, TARA, TPT load utilities, Fastload, MLoad, and TSET etc.
Experience in working with TASM and PDCR
Experience in developing shell scripts
Experience in working TARA with Netbackup backup architectures
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience in data modeling and design
Experience with Teradata Database performance tuning and best practices
Demonstrated knowledge in UNIX scripting and/or other languages like Python
Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools
Experience in Hadoop architecture, file systems, tools and utilities
