Telecoms Engineer

Location: Cheltenham

Clearance: DV

Rate: £400-£450 per day (outside IR35)

Duration: 12 months

Essential:

The successful Telecoms Engineer will need to have a good understanding of TCP/IP a mix of telecoms knowledge/skills from the list below:

• TCP/IP - IPv4, IPv6
• Telecoms provider core networks (excluding Radio Access Networks)
• Telephony
• GSM, UMTS, LTE
• IMS, SIP, VoIP
• Metro-Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi

Desirable:

• CSP core network architecture/design - Mobile and fixed line voice and broadband
• Awareness of SDN and NFV
• Knowledge of network security and IT security
• Future Technologies - e.g. WebRTC, IoT
• Wireshark and other networking tools
• Visio or similar
• Standards - e.g. NHIS, ETSI (102 232, 33.108)
• Exposure to lawful intercept systems
• Regulation - RIPA/DRIPA
