Work with a high-performance technology team developing cutting-edge applications and online technology. Be mentored by experienced Quality Assurance Engineers, Technical Writers, and Software Engineers. Translate what our clients want into systems that work exceptionally well. You'll make this happen by working with our team, as well as subject matter experts across the company. You'll be part of an incredibly collaborative team that is always working to improve our product offerings.

  • Team Communication: Confluence/Jira/Zephyr/Slack/Balsamiq
  • Development: Clojure/Datomic/Datalog/FrameMaker
  • Development Infrastructure: GitHub/AWS/Kubernetes/Jenkins
  • Frontend: ClojureScript/Re-frame/Bootstrap/Hiccup

Education & Experience:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional computer skills (Windows or MacOS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Essential skills for this position:
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Analytical / System-Thinking Processes

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker a significant plus
  • Knowledge of desktop/website publishing
  • Knowledge of web/graphic design (HTML, HTML5, CSS)
  • No degree required. However, a degree or substantial coursework in English, communication, journalism or a writing-intensive program is a plus.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Learn and understand our web-based Contract Lifecycle Management software.
  • Manually test web-based Contract Lifecycle Management software to ensure consistent and proper operations as new features are deployed.
  • Review existing documentation for clarity, consistency, and correctness regarding proper operation of the system.
  • Creating new documentation to help explain the use and operations of the system.
  • Assist in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting the application throughout the development process.
  • Assist in the writing of deployment and release notes.
  • Assist in the writing and editing of technical notes and documentation regarding system architecture.
  • Assist in the writing and editing of Business Requirements documentation.
  • Assist in the creation of new content and curation of existing content for our internal wiki (Confluence).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • This is a paid hourly intern position.
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • The position is located in our Chattanooga, TN office; however, a remote employment arrangement will be considered if candidate has extensive, successful experience in remote work. Due to scheduling and availability considerations, we prefer that remote candidates reside in Eastern or Central Standard Time zones. Metro Atlanta location is ideal.
