Technical Writer (Remote)

Your Impact

We are looking for an experienced technical writer to help create modern, in-depth documentation and user assistance for our cyber threat intelligence platform. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales to create resources that not only document what the product does but accelerate a user from novice to expert. Customer performance is critical to our platform, and the tools you help build will have a powerful impact on adoption.

This is a contract position.
In a typical week, you may:

• Work with marketing and engineers to produce and maintain clear, professional documentation, including: User Guides, Integration Guides, API Developer Guides, In-platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions, etc.).

• Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.

Your Background

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and 2-3 years experience writing about technical products or concepts

• Curiosity and ability to learn new topics through independent research

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word; familiarity with markdown languages (including HTML) a plus

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating step-by-step technical instructions, user guides, or API documentation

• Familiarity with web development, UX/UI design, or data visualization programs such as Tableau or Kibana

Our Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform

• Web app built on Python and JavaScript, leveraging Elasticsearch and AWS

• Provides near-real-time actionable cyber threat intelligence to clients including the DoD and several Fortune 500 companies
