We are looking for enthusiastic and talented computer science/computer engineers to intern with our team for the summer. This paid internship opportunity is available in our Reston, Virginia office just outside of Washington, DC. These internships are within Verisign's Technical Services Group, responsible for engineering and maintaining our systems to the highest level of availability, highlighted by 21 years of 100% uptime for DNS.
The role:
As a Verisign intern, you will:
work as an active member of a small agile engineering team building or supporting product features for Internet services;
have the opportunity to be involved in many phases of software development, systems engineering, architecture, systems and network administration;
attend daily stand-up meetings and collaborate cross-functionally with team members at many levels from Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and other organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Computer Science or Engineering major who is a rising junior or senior at the undergraduate level, or graduate level
An interest in the practice of software development, systems engineering or systems administration
The ability to express your thoughts clearly and concisely both written and verbally
The curiosity to troubleshoot issues and see them through to resolution
Interested in new technologies with the aptitude to pick them up quickly
Experience with programming languages such as Java or C/C++ and scripting languages such as Ruby or Python
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX and the ability to get around using the command-line
Networking roles would require familiarity with basic concepts, protocols and/or simple troubleshooting
Available to work full-time for a minimum of ten weeks during the summer of 2020
