Technical Expert – SAP BOI am currently looking for a Technical Expert – SAP BO for an initial 6 month contact for a client in Brussels, Belgium.Nature of the tasks- Provision of expert advice and assistance in Business Objects (BO), BO Universes, Data warehouse, Business Intelligence, Excel, Incident and Problem management (ITIL)- User testing of new releases of Business Objects and their Universes.- Assistance in the implementation of a single point of contact for users- Risk analysis, user feedback analysis- Provision of expert advice and assistance on reporting- Extraction of data from eGrants, Compass Data base and/or via Data Warehouse / Business Object. This task includes the formatting and presentation of this data in the requested reports and an analysis of the extracted data for reconciliation (step 1) and data consistency (step 2).- Drafting of new (BO and Excel) workflows, queries, diagrams and user guides- Synthesise reports based on data extracted from other output sources (BO, Excel, ABAC)- Verification of the consistency of the data in relevant existing Excel tables, the BO Universes accessible to Back office and other relevant applications (ABAC/ARES)- Drafting of diagrams and/or user guides in case of new BO/Excel procedures and queries.- Inform the end-users (staff) of resolved bugs and problems; contacting the eGrants Technical Team (developers etc.) in case of defect or new change request.- Liaise between end users (staff) and developers.- Participation in coordination and project meetings (multilingual – English, French)- Guidance and support to the users of the eGrants IT suit in the field of Reporting in DG Migration and Home Affairs ensuring, in this respect, an effective and correct use, of the applications for the management of the programmes. This task includes an analysis of problems encountered by the users, identification of solutions to these problems and the communication of the appropriate advice to the users orally and/or in writing, in English or French. In case of problems of general nature, preparation and communication of written guidance to all relevant users.- Training to new users of eGrants reporting applications.
