Overview

MacStadium is a cloud company based in Atlanta, GA. We offer enterprise-class cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service built on Apple Mac computers. Customers like Capital One, Box, Pandora, Shopify and many more use our technology as critical infrastructure for iOS and Mac app development plus other exciting use cases. We have been growing fast and need help supporting our rapidly-growing customer base.

We are looking to bring on a  Technical Account Manager  that is excited to work with our customers to ensure they are getting the most out of their MacStadium infrastructure as they expand and update their clouds to meet their changing needs.

Virtualization is hard to do on MacOS, and MacStadium has two options (VMWare and Orka – Orchestration with Kubernetes on Apple). This role primarily focuses on helping customers set up Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for MacOS workloads (e.g., build and test for iOS and Mac apps). This will involve getting to know multiple enterprise CI/CD approaches and working with MacStadium infrastructure teams.

A strong technical background is a  MUST  given the nature of our team, product, and customer base. The right person for this role is a self-starter with the ability to collaborate with team members and third parties.

This position is incredibly important as we are growing fast and working with some of the biggest names in tech by providing mission-critical infrastructure. The person filling this role will build deep relationships with MacStadium’s most important customers and help them adopt new features, implement best practices, and respond to technical issues. As we’re still a small team, we’re looking for individuals excited about helping us to define new processes and making a big impact.

This role will report directly to the Director of Customer Success.

What you will be doing:

  • Running Technical On-BoardingAbility to communicate differences in MacStadium systems with traditional linux/windows implementationsMust have a working knowledge of Puppet, Chef or Ansible, and ability to articulate how these work with the MacStadium optionsMust have a working knowledge of CI tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, etc)
  • Problem solvingAct as a trusted technical advisor when customers have questions, concerns, or issuesCoordinate MacStadium resources including customer support technicians, operations staff, senior engineering talent, and software developers to ensure rapid issue resolutions
  • Account ManagementDrive upsells and expansion by suggesting improvements, minimize/prevent downgrades/churn through contract renewals, account planning, and helping customers capture valueActively promote MacStadium services to existing and new contacts within key accounts to grow deploymentsManaging any expansion or upsell agreements through to close including proposing, trialing, negotiation, and launch
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have a solid background in a consultative, technical sales, support, or customer success role.     You are expected to measure, analyze, and report on performance and success of all projects and to be prepared to present findings to leadership as needed. 

    Applicants based in the Atlanta area are preferred, though we have a robust Working Remotely policy and don’t plan to return to a “normal” office setting for our sales team until 2021 at the earliest. We can cover the flexibility in schedule in the interview. Remote applicants are welcome to apply, subject to policy.

    What Skills and Experience you need to have:

    Preferred experience and qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years of working with CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, et al
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Startup experience (i.e., working in fast-paced, high growth environments)
  • Experience learning and supporting technical products while working with engineers/developers
  • Willingness to travel to meet key clients as needed (very unlikely in 2020)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field (strongly preferred), or 4 extra years of relevant work experience
