At D8a Driven, we simplify and automate business processes for our clients. We do this by identifying data driven insights and turning them into actionable recommendations. We currently serve dozens of clients and are on a path to scale 10x within the next 12 months. We need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. We are looking for a Tableau-based Business Intelligence Engineer to be a part of the team who will build dashboards, models, and algorithms for multiple functional areas including sales, operations, supply chain, and marketing.
This role is both creative and analytical – we need someone who can review our current needs, isolate improvement opportunities, help us think big about what to consider in terms of scalability and long-term automation. Visualizing data effectively that can generate insights is highly critical to this role. This role requires an individual with excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions and the ability to work with technology, product development, and business teams. The successful candidate will work from a remote location, has a passion for data and analytics, is a self-starter comfortable dealing with ambiguity, demonstrates attention to detail, is driven by a desire to innovate, and thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop new and innovative Tableau dashboards to effectively visualize client performance data across multiple functional areas including Sales, Profit, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain
· Analyze relevant business information, and uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve product and strategy decisions
· Develop clear communications for recommended actions
· Use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problems
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 3+ years hands on analytics work experience with Tableau
· Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, engineering, statistics, or related discipline
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
· Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems by managing or guiding technical teams with Tableau
· Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively develop and communicate clear, thoughtful, and comprehensive analyses.
· Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload and roadmaps
· Be self-driven and scrappy - show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Fluency in R, Python or a similar modeling language, and proficiency in SQL
· Experience in eCommerce / retail
· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or a related discipline.
· Familiarity with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
· Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby)
· Experience in building cloud services / application software
· Experience working directly with external clients / customers
