My leading Telco client is currently recruiting a Linux Engineer with strong virtualization/cloud skills to join their team. In this contract you will play a key part in the onboarding of new applications and operation of a large scale cloud environment
Responsibilities
- Operational Readiness of the cloud environment
- Ensuring the availability and performance of the cloud environment throughout its lifecycle
- Accountable for the set-up, management and support of the datacentre tools and virtualisation functionality
- Perform integration and validation tasks for datacentre equipment and tools
- Monitoring/tracking performance of systems, dimensioning, and capacity planning
- Supporting the onboarding of SaaS Applications on to the cloud environment.
Experience required
- Excellent Linux knowledge
- Good understanding of one or various cloud technologies
- Excellent virtualization skills
- Technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation technologies and architecture
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, Compute, NAS, SDN, Firewalls, Routing and NFV solutions
- Knowledge of data centre infrastructure, virtualisation architectures and operational processes (ITIL, ITSM, Prince II)
