We're recruiting for a Contract System Developer, working with a fast growing financial services company based in London. This role will start immediately for the right candidate and will interview in the next week or so.
Day to day duties will include:
- Development and maintenance of the VB & C#.NET software platform (Phoebus)
- Development and maintenance of the data warehouse & ETL environment
- Data Migration: analysis of source data, mapping data, implementing and testing the migration process
- Ensure all developments fit within the overall system architecture and design strategy
- Manage the delivery of BAU Helpdesk support for the business systems, ensuring all support requests are dealt with effectively and closed out in a timely manner
- Work with all stakeholders to best prioritise system developments and deliver to agreed release schedules
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Excellent C# and VB.NET skills (WinForms, WCF and WebAPI)
- Excellent MS SQL Server skills, with extensive database design and data migration experience
- Competency in best practices and techniques - unit testing, design patterns, SOLID principles
- Worked in financial services or Fintech environment
- Experience in deploying and maintaining solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Strong communicator with an ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical colleague
You'll be working with a strong team who value communication and honesty. This is a 6-month role with the possibility of extension.
