We have been retained by our client, a start-up company in Dallas, Texas, that has been in business for 6 years, to deliver an Swift Developer with Swift skills , to work 100% Remote, 10-20 hours a week, initially . Projects are designing the functionality of a few UIs, accessing RESTful Web API’s, the google map API, and this mobile application uses bluetooth low energy technology (BLE). It would be an advantage, but certainly not required, for any Swift developer candidate to have some knowledge, skills or experience in Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons, ibeacons, Google Beacons, eddystone, or other similar Bluetooth devices.
This role is keenly focused on developing the Swift UI parts of this iOS application. Qualified candidates need 3+ years of Swift development , paid-for, work experience accessing Web APIs. The Google Map API is one of those. This is an iOS Swift UI project that includes accessing the ibeacons. This contract engagement is focused on the UI, and mapping a new UI to perform the required functions in a well-thought-out and cohesive way.
As a Swift Developer, you will be part of a multi-discipline team where meaningful collaboration is highly valued. We seek an open minded Swift developer candidate that is a quick learner. This startup company has entered its’ 6 th year, and has recently closed on another large investment. This development team welcomes your new ideas. Your responsibilities will be rooted in the design and implementation of applications visible to both customers and employees. This position requires good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to solve complex problems, and applicable technical experience. This is an opportunity to contribute to the entire design and development of the user interfaces, using a rational thought processes, as well as creating maintainable code. You will need to state your case as to why you choose the code you did to implement the UI features you plan to implement.
You will need your personal laptop to use on the project. Work remotely. Candidates need to have 10-40 hours per week available to work on this team. This will be 10-20 hours per week initially. It can remain 10-20 hours a week, or could increase to 20-40 hours per week, given the work load, and given your ability or availability for more than 20 hours per week. This is an excellent team and product. They are growing quickly.
Requirements :
3+ years’ experience as a Mobile Application Developer, including 3+ years of Swift programming experience. (3+ years of paid-for, professional work experience).
Experience developing iOS applications in Objective-C is helpful, but we require Swift Developer experience. Also, any Java / Android experience is a plus, but this position is all about Swift and making calls to work with RESTful Web API’s.
Javascript skills and HTML & CSS skills are needed and ReactJS or AngularJS skills are a plus, but this role is a Swift developer, making iOS app work with REST calls to a web app (.NET/React/HTML/CSS/SQL).
mobile application User Interface development experience with Mobile First Design.
The ability to use your personal laptop for this project.
Experience accessing Web API’s is required.
A "work from home" office with internet, and cell phone.
Ability to work 10-40 hours per week. Start with 10-20 hours per week, 100% remote. We much more prefer candidates in the DFW area, but any candidate in the USA is fine.
