- This position will initially be a 3-month contract remote role with the possibility of a full-time opportunity depending on business needs
- Gather and evaluate user requirements and personas in collaboration with the UX Researchers, Product Managers, and UI developers
- Research and analyze industry UI/UX trends and strategies
- Translate ideas into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Work with product teams to design user-friendly forms, applications, interfaces, and elements based on functional specifications
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions, and features
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
- Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas
- Support designing and maintaining a living style guide and pattern library

- 3+ years of outstanding UI/UX design experience in financial services or a banking environment to be considered
- A user-first mindset: empathy, advocacy, and a passionate drive to do what’s right
- Mad skills with the Adobe Creative Cloud, especially with Illustrator, and Photoshop, to create illustrations, optimize images, and create SVG’s
- Experience working with customer portals, self-service tools, payment systems and/or chat integration
- Solid design chops with a keen sense of typography, and interaction design, composition, and flow
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, InVision, UXPin, etc. is a must
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
- Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies in the development life cycle
- Positive, collaborative attitude and a good sense of humor
- Able to work onsite in our Salt Lake City office
- Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus, but not required
