The Senior UX Designer will work with our product management and development teams, to implement immersive exposure, a shared experience vision and to create a culture of continuous learning; we are on track to becoming a design driven organization. The UX designer will work in modern SaaS application interfaces while taking pride providing a product that customers will love.
Essential Functions:
- Experience with Commercial B2B SaaS.
- Experience in creating in-app help/walkthroughs.
- Analytical mindset of determining areas that would benefit from some help/assistance.
- Experience in user research to help identify pain-points in the product suite.
- Create helpful and enjoyable learning processes for users.
- Build and deliver UX design.
- Analyze, access, input, and retrieve data.

Duties and responsibilities:
- The whole enchilada: customer journey analysis, information architecture, wireframes, graphic design, mockups, prototyping, and providing insight for product improvements.
- Application of consistent branding and product design standards
- UX design for a range of new applications, including multiple greenfield products.
- Taking initiative to utilize UX methodologies to solve problems:
- User interviews & Usability tests
- Card sorts, tree tests, heatmap/first click testing
- Behavioral analytic analysis
- User flows across all product touchpoints
- Journey map the UX customer experience
- Building wireframes
- Some simple graphic design work
- Creating high-fidelity mockups to assist product designers where necessary
- Applying consistent branding and product design standards.
- Understanding product specifications and user psychology
- Helping create personas through user research and data
- Defining the right interaction model and evaluate its success
- Finding creative ways to solve UX problems using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies (e.g. usability, findability, success rate, etc.)
- Working with product designers to implement attractive, intuitive designs
Experience:
Experience in writing user guide, user manuals, tooltips, creating video walkthroughs, help sections, and similar types of output to help users understand how to perform complex tasks.
An in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of good design: visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color theory, etc.
In-depth understanding of software usability heuristics and guidelines
Experience with usability studies and/or user research
Experience with design work for B2B enterprise products
Experience implementing your design ideas in a software product environment
Experience with written style and usability guidelines and built user interfaces that adhere to them.
BSc in UX, Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology/Sociology or a related field
Qualifications:
- 6+ years relevant work experience as a Senior product, Senior UX or Senior UI designer
- Must have a user-centric product design approach
- Understanding of HCI and UCD
- Ability to work in a rapid/iterative design environment
- Strong portfolio of design projects
- Strong understanding of interaction design and information architecture
- Proficient in design software (e.g. Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe Suite, etc.)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
- Commercial B2B SaaS experience.
- Experience/interest in In-App Guidance, Guided Tour, In-App Learning, Context-based Help, In-app walkthroughs like Pendo, Userlanes, WalkMe, etc.
- Analytical mindset of determining which areas of our products could benefit from some help/assistance for the user, due to complexity, process, or verbiage.
- A motivated self-starter that is passionate about creating critical guidance/assistance for users.
- Experience in validation/researching, which would determine which components or features in a SaaS app would require guidance/help within the application.
- Develop strategies to create helpful and enjoyable learning processes for users.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent eye for aesthetic design and understanding of how it will increase customer appeal
- Excellent attention to detail, meticulous and diligent
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends (willingness to quickly learn the industry is also acceptable)
Physical Requirements: The Physical Requirements for this position include being able to constantly operate a computer, frequently communicate within the company, frequently communicate with customers or potential customers, occasionally remain in a stationary position, and frequently transverse about inside the office.
Some travel to customer sites for onsite visits may also be required on occasion.
