ROLE: We are looking for a MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular.js, Node.js) developers to support the company website. If you have ever visited their site you will notice that you can stream their content directly off the website. The website has the ability to do what they call carouseling which are window panes that you can scroll through. In addition, the content needs to be secured so customers cannot just download the video onto their machines. We need to find someone who has experience working in a MEAN Stack, has worked on large enterprise websites, and fits their culture. The environment feels like you are working at a movie company with posters and movie swag all over the place. It is very casual with most of the management wearing jeans and button ups. They do allow some remote work but this person needs to ensure they get their work done without issues or other team members calling them out.

You’ll be working on a variety of consumer-facing products and other critical systems. If you’re a rugged individualist that can analyze, create and enhance compelling, flexible and scalable products then this is the place for you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, build and maintain software solutions using a variety of modern technologies.
- Invent flexible solutions to challenging technical problems that are adaptable and scalable to future business needs.
- Must possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills which will be used to diagnose, debug and solve issues in current production platforms.
- Participate in code reviews with both internal and outsourced staff as necessary to ensure a high quality product.
- Collaborate with the broader Digital Platforms team including the Leadership team, quality assurance professionals, designers, business analysts and other software engineers in an open, creative environment.
- Contribute to all aspects of the software creation process:
- Software architecture and design
- Application UI design and prototyping
- Object-oriented development
- Unit testing/test-driven development
- Integration testing
- Deployment
- Maintenance
- Post-deployment production support and troubleshooting
- Enthusiastically pursue additional training and understanding of new technologies that may be relevant to the Digital Platforms team. Advise management on strategies for use of new technologies.

Thorough understanding and first hand use of modern development.
Knowledge and consumer level experience with at least a few of the following devices expected: Internet browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.), Apple devices (iPhone, iPad), Android devices, Xbox 360/One, PlayStation 3 & 4, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Fire TV.

- Build “best in class” content discovery and video streaming experiences for channel subscribers

Required Skills
- 5-8+ years experience in an enterprise or consumer software development environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred
- Expert level programming skills creating applications using frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js
- Experience developing consumer facing user interfaces and supporting UI controls/components
- Must possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills which will be used to diagnose, debug and solve issues
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (Amazon, Google, Azure)
- Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience instrumenting applications with digital marketing technologies
