Job Title: Sr. Java EE Full Stack Developer

Duration: 6 months Contract to hire for USC/GC (long term contract for H1b candidates)

Job Location: Work is remote anywhere in the U.S. but if you live near Washington DC, there may be 1-2 days commute to Wash DC each month

Clearance Requirement: NACI clearance that will be obtained post employment

Employment Period: February / March 2020

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferable in Information Technology field with at least 5-10 years of experience in Java EE development.

Summary Description:

Client is seeking to fill a Sr. Full Stack Developer position to be a key member of the Scrum team responsible for implementing an Document Management solution for a civilian government client. The candidate is responsible for development of software and BPM solutions of the application and delivering solutions to user stories prioritized by the Product Owner. The individual will work as a team member along with the Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Solutions Architect and other Developers to continuously deliver software in support of internal client and overall agency needs.

Required:

  • Have at least 5-10 years of Java EE design and development experience
  • Experience in software development using Java, Web Services, Spring, Maven, Git, Spring, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Familiar with Agile development methodology, Scrum and JIRA
  • Expert knowledge of XML, JSON
  • Experience in the development, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Restful web

services

  • Experience in Tomcat and configurations
  • Experience in Database management systems and strong working knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Flexibility/Adaptability is required, especially when working in a large team
  • Excellent Organization and Time Management skills
  • Excellent Communication skills and working in a team environment

Preferred:

  • Federal Government experience
  • Jenkins, CI/CD experience, Spring Boot
  • Document Management Solutions (Alfresco, Documentum, etc.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of a Scrum software development team
  • Provide software development and testing guidance to junior team members
  • Work with the Solutions Architect on the overall system design
  • Write code per user story acceptance criteria
  • Test to ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
  • Analyze user stories to determine how to translate into appropriate technical solutions
  • Debug and resolve technical issues
  • Make recommendations to build or improve the API infrastructure and overall system architecture
  • Actively participate in the User Story grooming, development, testing and implementation
  • Participate in overall systems testing and migration of applications to production
  • Develop new documentation and design user guides
  • Participate in application support and troubleshooting and resolution or escalating issues and/or complex production, application or system problems
  • Recommend and implement automated testing, where applicable
  • Hands-on configuration of vendor tools to meet client or project-specific needs
  • Continually engage in professional development
