Position: Sr. Java Developer
Location : Fully Remote
Duration : 6 month contract to hire

Overview: Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Sr. Java Developer to assist with enhancements of 20+ applications supporting a large healthcare provider based in Rancho Cordova, CA. The position is on a long term contract basis with hourly compensation depending on experience. The successful candidate must have experience upgrading similar systems, and strong Java and Spring knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Write and configure code for new and upgraded solutions in accordance with technical specifications Analyze, design, code, debug, test and modify new software or enhancements while considering software abilities Create strategic technical designs for projects within team Provide high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems Consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features Estimate effort for current and future projects of small to medium scope Requirements:
BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline 7+ years of software development experience Ability to provide tech expertise for analysis, design, and modeling work Strong Core Java and Spring experience Middleware: JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat Healthcare experience a plus Strong communication and ability to communicate goals in solution or project goal terms
