Position Title: * Sr DevOps Engineer*
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 6 months contract to Hire
Interview: Face to Face Only – All before 12/20

SKILLS

• On prem environment
• Linux/Unix, Windows, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL
• Ansible for configuration management
• -Must know how to build and deploy playbooks
• Docker containers
• -Some are already designed but will build when needed
• CI/CD with Jenkins
• -Pipeline already set up
• Kubernetes for orchestration
• They will be responsible for integration and deployment strategies
• Automation of task and testing
• Maintaining HA and scalable architecture
• Understanding of system dependencies, integration points, system interfaces and data flows.

What we are looking for?

Client has an opening for a Sr DevOps Engineer who will lead our software integration and automated testing efforts. We are seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer to be a key contributor on a software development effort. You will work within an agile team, designing, improving and developing integration and automated testing activities. As a member of the team, you will document, integrate software systems and solutions using tools and technologies that enable agile development, continuous integration, and rapid development and automated testing. Perform gap analysis to identify process and tool integration needs, system dependencies and integration points, systems interface and data flows.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical work experience
• Collaborate with the engineering team and play an integral part of design, development, integration and test
• Ability to set-up and maintain continuous integration and automated testing environment
• Past experience coordinating and facilitate exchange/requirements meetings or forums to determine needs of the SCRUM teams
• Working knowledge of JIRA, BitBucket, Jenkins, and LDRA tool set.
• Problem solver, a fixer, and a creative technologist
• Great team player and communicator, verbal and written

Required items and skills for the position:

In order to be considered, the potential candidate must possess the following attributes:

• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to rapidly address issues
• 5+ years working with Agile S/W development teams.
• Be a part of a team working on a high volume, highly available security platform that is critical to the success of the business
• Take ownership and responsibility over assigned projects
• Able to plan and manage the integration and automated testing approach
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of container platform services including Docker, Swarm, and/or Kubernetes a plus.
• Knowledge of open-source configuration and deployment tools such as Ansible a plus
• Good communication and ability to share best practices with Agile team members
