Full Job Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support both On-premises and Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud applications. Team is made up of 72 people. Some Business, some developers (20) the DevOps portion makes up 7 members.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in configuring new applications and performing software build and deployments, pre-post release activities, assist with troubleshooting issues, and application environment infrastructure management. The candidate should also have solid experience in build/release management and Unix.
Must Have Qualifications
3+ years of supporting AWS Cloud environment
3+ years of experience in DevOps, Configuration and Release Management roles
4+ years Hands-on in on-prem Unix environment, including shell scripting
Hands on docker deployment along with Jenkins, CICD, bit bucket AWS , code pipelines
Hands-on experience with source control tools (Bitbucket, SVN, Git), software build-tools (Gradle, Maven, Angular), continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Code-Build), continuous deployment tools (UCD, Terraform)
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Ability to modify or author implementation/backout plans, best practice documents, and scripts which can be understood and used by others.
Certs are helpful but not needed
Prior Fannie experience is a huge plus
Duties:
Setup new applications in AWS Cloud
Execute software builds & deployments through Jenkins & UCD/Terraform
Coordinate, manage, and perform production releases
Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure application environment is working properly
Automate repetitive tasks including system builds, application installation processes
Coordinate escalation of issues/risks and remove impediments
Initiate infrastructure setup for new and upcoming applications
Write build scripts and automate the deployments for new applications
Submit Change/Incident Management Tickets, coordinate & obtain approvals
Implement standards, processes, & controls for release & deployment in DevOps space
Manage AWS cloud adoption initiatives, Deploy applications in AWS Cloud environment
Participate in planning and implementation of infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), migrate existing applications to AWS cloud
