Sr Data Engineer/Solutions Architect (AWS) - 1 year contract, 100% remote in US

Our client in the specialty insurance industry seeks a Sr Data Engineer with solutions architecture experience to help design and build out a first of its kind recommendation engine.

100% US remote; W2 Contract; 1 year

Project Summary: This team will be working on the creation of the first iteration/version “Recommendation Engine”. This essentially is taking information provided by the user (user likes and preferences) and storing that information in this user’s profile for current and future uses.

Role Description: Data Engineer will provide solution architecture input for build, functionality; including mapping/building of integration points from multiple sources (including WordPress, Contentful, HDC, and Salesforce)

Desired Technical Expertise:

• AWS- Deep understanding of AWS and AWS Resources to use for building this out. Examples of AWS resources would be: Dynamo DB; Aurora; Kinesis; Neptune.
• Solution Architecture- familiar with architecting what end-product will look like, including the integration points, and technology/gies used throughout the solution. Specifically, qualified candidates will have significant experience/expertise with Event Based Architecture in AWS (EventBridge).
• Terraform – strong-to-expert level skill using Terraform
• Airflow - strong-to-expert level skill using Airflow
• Python - strong-to-expert level skill using Python
