Job Title/Role : SQL Database SSIS Developer

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in related field and 7+ years related experience. (NOTE: this position for VA CMOP requires 8+ years of experience. If no degree, the position requires 16+ years of experience)..
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
· 8 or more years’ experience working with and developing within Microsoft SQL Server.
· High level knowledge of SQL: indexes, normalization, schemas, stored procedures, and triggers
· Experience with Relational database design
· Expert T-SQL programming and analysis skills
· Strong database development skills MS SQL 2014+
· Strong SSIS and ETL skills
· Experience developing systems in the Microsoft environment using Microsoft’s development tools in real-time is required
· Proven experience in developing and supporting large development initiatives that are similar in scope and complexity to the VA’s CMOP
· Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing
· Collaborator, self-starter, strategic providing input to technical design to meet project objectives
· Experience in high transaction OLTP relational databases
· Ability to work in fast paced environment and deliver results key milestones targets
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Visual studio 2015/2017/2019
· Experience with .NET and C#
· Solid experience and skills designing and implementing object-oriented software solutions with an emphasis on industry best practices and design patterns C# (WCF, Web Services, MVC) MSSQL/T-SQL, and JavaScript.
· Understanding or experience of development and integration processes in multiple environments.
· Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2015
· Experience with Microsoft Teams
· Experience with Agile Methodologies
· Experience with Test Driven Development
· Ability to adequately document designs, coded solutions and systems.
· Strong web development experience with a good understanding of MVC and object oriented programming, in a pharmaceutical or automated fulfilment environment.
· Experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / hardware controls
· Experience with Mid-Tier Application Servers (IIS)
· Ideally 2+ years of experience in the field of industrial process automation similar to CMOP or health care industry
· Experience working in an industrial automation environment
· Experience in a Health Services environment
· Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs within the last two years, to include previous possession of VA PIV card and VA network access
· Experience working as a contractor for the Federal government
Worker Location:
Candidate must be located at or near the VA CMOP facility in Hines, IL.

The Software Developer will work 4 – 5 days per week at the CMOP. After the software developer is experienced in the software baseline at the CMOP, he/she may have the opportunity to work remotely more often, depending upon specific requirements at the CMOP.
