SQL DBA/Developer required by global professional services company to provide database support and data services. You will be required to do a number of activities including:
Installing, configuring and managing MS SQL 2008, 2012-2017.
Coding ETL packages using SSIS or Azure Data Factory to high standard.
Configuring High availability, Always On and Replication
Configuring MS Azure Database and Managed Instance utilizing Azure features as Geo-Replication.
Query Optimization and Performance Tuning
Performing Backup and Restore.
Provide second and third line support.
Setting up Test, DEV, UAT and Production environments
Developing solutions to streamline and automate Operations.
Documenting database environments and solutions.
Skills:
MUST have experience of the following:
Enterprise level SQL Server database management, and experience of Microsoft Azure.
Strong experience of administering SQL Server 2008 – SQL 2017.
Ability to configure complex database environments comprising of transactional/Merged replication, failover and clustering.
Strong Transact-SQL and Query optimisation skills.
Strong experience of developing ETL code utilising SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Good knowledge of SQL Server BI suite (SSIS, SSRS and Power BI)
Strong knowledge of IDREA and SCOM monitoring tools.
Any knowledge or experience of AWS would be ideal.
