Software Test Engineer: £30-40 p/h (12 Month Initial Contract, Based in Leicester)
Here at Yoh we are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to work for an International and Industry Leading, Aviation and Engineering Company. Due to their ongoing success on their Engineering Project across UK airports they are looking to grow the size of their team and recruit for a Software test engineer to take responsibility for the testing of developed software across the projects and ensuring he output meets defined functional and non-functional requirements.
They are looking for someone to come in on an initial 12 month contract based in one of their biggest UK branches in Leicester.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all functional and non-functional design requirements are correctly translated into test cases / scenarios
- To ensure the configuration control of the hardware and software test environment is managed.
- Perform testing activities within the project cost and time constraints.
- To independently decompose the system design requirements into logical units for testing purposes.
- To execute the detailed test cases and maintain the test records with associated results / configurations
- Deliver released software from development / test to customer sites and complete final User Acceptance Testing at the clients facility
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 3 years' experience in performing Factory and User Acceptance Testing role.
- Must have had a hands on testing role within the last 2 years (test execution, defect management and test cycle closures)
- Must have experience of designing test cases from business requirements or detailed design specifications within the last 2 years
- JIRA or Microsoft Test Manager experience (creation and execution of test scripts, logging of defects and test reporting) within the last 2 years
- SQL experience (running of queries to extract or update database content) within the last 2 years.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ISEB foundation certificate for software testing
