Test engineer with API and Karate Framework & Linux
Position: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Position
Location: Philadelphia
Responsibilities:
· Building robust, scalable, and high–quality test scripts for functional, regression and performance testing
· Writing, customizing, deployment and managing the test scripts (written in Gherkin) using karate framework to test the different microservices REST API.
· Performing high-class debugging
· Preparing and presenting test coverage and reports
· SOAP and REST API testing - both automated and manual.
· Analyzing the XML/JSON responses, and automation of parsing techniques is a plus
· Utilization of GIT version control, JIRA, Gerrit, Jenkins as part of regular activities
· Writing SOAP and Restful API testing scripts in karate framework
· Applying different test methodologies
· Functional and load testing
Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science/electronics or related field.
· 3-5 years of experience, in application development with testing experience using Java
· Experience in BDD and TDD test methodologies using Gherkin scripting on Karate framework
· Experience in API level testing
· Being proactive of QA activities
· Experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred) system
· Knowledge on source control system such as GitHub Enterprise, Gerrit, and CI/CD such as Jenkins
· Experience with networking technology an added advantage.
Should have good communication, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour
