Software Test Engineer (Automation, Python, BDD, Gherkin) needed urgently for our client based in Dunfermline.
The right candidate must have strong Software testing experience, ideally within technical, engineering or scientific environments. You must have experience in both Manual and automation testing combined with strong technical experience across both Windows and Linux platforms and scripting experience, including Python.
Demonstrable experience in software testing, performing manual and automated testing using scripting and/or programming techniques (ideally with experience of Python and BDD/Gherkin)
Total of 3+ years of experience in software development or software testing.
Proven experience in risk-based test analysis and specification
Proficiency in using integrated development environments, version control systems and bug reporting tools.
Proficiency in RDBMS data reporting and manipulation using SQL.
Good computer skills for installing MS Windows and Linux systems, and use of MS Office applications.
Good written and spoken English, proficient in writing technical documents.
Ability to adhere to software development life cycle and software configuration management and to follow documented processes.
An ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
You must have strong communication skills and the ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams.
