Job Description The CMS Software Integration team have contractor vacancies for engineers to support software integration & build activities across a number of Combat Management Systems programmes. The software source is a complex mix of software written in-house, sub-contract procured and true COTS running in a multi-node networked environment. Essential Skills:
Windows 7/10/Server 2008/2012/2016 functionality Active directory and domain knowledge Networks (architecture and protocols) OS diagnostic tools (e.g. for Windows, perfmon and the SysInternals tools) Virtual machines and VMware ESXi General integration and problem-solving techniques
Additional Skills would include the following: Debugging techniques. General purpose scripting languages (e.g. to automate processes or perform a quick analysis of data). Example languages include AWK, Perl, Python, etc. Build tools (e.g. make, Ant, etc.). The underlying concepts are more important than knowledge of a specific tool XML and associated technologies (e.g. DOM, XSLT, etc.)
