Software Developer (Python, Javascript, React, GIT, Agile, MongoDB, Visual studio)

My technology client is looking for an experienced and passionate Contract Software Engineer to join their exciting team at their base near Cambridge. The client develops, manufactures and distributes specialist scientific equipment. They develop some of the most innovative technologies used Globally, being internationally known for providing highly technical projects used in the modern life science industry. The responsible of the Software engineer will be in the detailed design, implementation, integration and testing for a selection application for the bespoke equipment.

Roles and responsibilities of the Software Engineer:

  • Expert software development using JavaScript and React, using the create-react-app framework
  • Converting system requirements into software component designs
  • Implementation of unit testing of the software components
  • Designing, documenting and coding with frequent peer reviews
  • Familiar with MongoDB, GraphQL an advantage
  • Working in Scrum / Agile, quality conscious environment

Skills of the Software Engineer:

  • Python * Javascript * React * Visual Studio, * PyMongo * Version control * TFS, GIT
  • Visual Studio * MongoDB * Agile * Scrum
