Software Engineer (Remote)

You are someone who can provide solutions to our client’s business challenges. You possess a wide array of technical skills and knowledge as well as the ability to use their experience to choose the best platform to solve the problem. You are comfortable developing on a wide variety of platforms and tools, while collaborating closely with business leaders on rapid iterations in a fast-changing environment. You are self-motivated and organized professional with full stack web development experience. You are ambitious, creative and must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

• Actively participate in design: our team is at the foundation level of our client's needs; providing input during the creation of websites, applications, mobile apps and other products.
• Build the right solution: it's critical we know what our client's trying to do. Your approach builds the right level of solution for the specific budget/project goals.
• Manage the development lifecycle: we work hard to apply industry best practices to our design and use the best software development practices such as waterfall/Agile methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years in the software engineering profession with demonstrated success designing and building high-quality, enterprise software applications
• 3+ years of experience with Linux, Python, Apache
• 3+ years of experience with PHP and/or MySQL
• Experience building/working in cross-browser codebase (HTML5/CSS)
• Experience developing solutions using cloud providers like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
• Understanding of ReactJS, Angular and Restful APIs
• Understanding of design and UI/UX principles and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• This role blends both front end and back-end development so you are able to deliver either one or both, depending on the project.
• Demonstrated experience across the development lifecycle and the ability to independently solve technical problems (with collaborators).
• Willingness and ability to learn and incorporate new technologies, methodologies, or approaches that will help us build better products/outcomes for our clients.
• Ability to build within our client’s architecture & tech stack, recommending the appropriate solutions/integrations/APIs for their unique development needs.
• Working knowledge of security, encryption, and data integration in order to protect our clients’ business information.

Additional Skills:

• Passion for user interface design for the Web and Mobile Applications
• Prior MySQL administration and performance tuning experience
• User of Google Analytics/metrics
• Familiarity with industry trends around flat UX/UI
• Interest in new technologies like NoSQL, Elasticsearch, NoCode
• Prefer environments with Agile Methods/Best practices
• Proven background using automation/API integration
