As a Sr. Software Engineer in Test at Virbela you will be working on a cross-disciplinary team that includes organizational psychologists, corporate leaders, virtual world specialists, and domain experts.
Position Summary
The core responsibility is to ensure the development of high quality, comprehensive test frameworks, tests and infrastructure to ensure our application is accurate, robust, performant, scalable and deployable.
Tasks
Architect, design and implement test automation frameworks for a complex virtual world environment
Work with Software Engineers to define a roadmap and implementation plans for QA automation strategy
Be a quality champion
Collaborate with QA to define test plans and testing tools for manual testers
Mentor other engineers and provide code and process quality guidance to individuals and teams
Contribute ideas and improvements to build automation, pipelines, and tools
Document, organize, and maintain new code, helping to grow the company’s code base
Inspire colleagues to continuously generate forward-thinking ideas and actively contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence. Help build on our creative legacy and award-winning work

Skills
Fluency in C# and experience with Java and JavaScript
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expert skills at reading and understanding existing code bases
Solid understanding of CI process
Security and quality mindset
Experience
B.S. in computer science or equivalent work experience
6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, SDET, Software Engineer or similar role with a focus on quality
4+ years of hands-on experience with NUnit or similar test frameworks
2+ years working with Unity3D or similar 3D game engine
Experience mocking external dependencies and creating automated integration tests for cloud services such as APIs or microservices is a big bonus
Experience creating QA test guidelines for QC operations
Skills in Client/server networking, audio/video streaming and API testing
Working knowledge of interactive media (e.g. display technologies, video, 2D/3D animation, and interactive software)
Experience working collaboratively with cross-disciplinary, art, programming, production and technology teams
Experience working on short-timeline, fast-paced projects
Must be a strong leader and teammate
Must be punctual, reliable, highly flexible, and excellent at balancing multiple detail-oriented projects
