As part of the PIE (Production Infrastructure Engineering), you will have the opportunity to focus on:
(1) building data collection, correlation, and analytics solutions used to bring Satya’s vision of a “data culture” to life. We own the platform which enables observability products throughout Azure and Microsoft as well as the One Data Strategy (1DS) initiative across the company.
(2) owning the tools and processes designed to make Azure engineers as productive as possible. These tools will be used by every developer in the Cloud and Artificial Intelligence division, on every code change which is deployed into production.
(3) learning and leveraging data/stream processing solutions such as Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Explorer (ADX) to analyze distributed telemetry.
(4) designing, writing and delivering software that improves the availability, reliability, scalability, latency, security, resiliency, and efficiency of all Azure services.

Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with Full Scope Polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with Full Scope Polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph) clearance.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related math/engineering field, or 3+ years of equivalent industry software engineering experience
3 years of programming experience writing code in Java, C++, C#, or C or other object-oriented programming language
Ability to drive technical investigations and prototyping in a fast-paced startup environment
Excellence in collaboration across teams within and outside the organization, driving and delivering on initiatives
Experience developing applications hosted on top of Azure or other similar Cloud Platforms
Experience building scalable and high-available services in the Cloud.
A sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals.
