Software Engineer, Front End (Remote)

Clostra is a growing artificial Intelligence (AI) company looking to expand our engineering team by adding a front-end engineer to lead UI development on several key projects. Clostra uses state-of-the-art machine learning to create innovative solutions for defense, medicine, and business.

You must be driven to focus on customer problems and deliver high-impact interactive data visualizations and intuitive user interfaces. You need to be resourceful and pragmatic with a demonstrated ability to learn, work independently, and make decisions.

We have been fully-remote / work-from-home since 2017.

Responsibilities

• Lead front end software development for one or more products
• Build cross-platform applications targeting both desktop and mobile
• Work collaboratively with machine learning engineers, product managers, and others to shape the products and their software architectures
• This is a full-time consulting position

Requirements

• Mastery of JavaScript
• Strong understanding of web technologies and Android development
• Strong software engineering skills
• Passion for building user interfaces that delight users and solve customer problems
• Understand best practices for data visualization, including for statistical and scientific data
• Experience with one or more front end development frameworks (React, React Native, Angular, Electron)
• Portfolio of progressively impressive front end development projects
• Good taste in visual design, UI, and UX
• Clear and honest communications
• Passion for learning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Take ownership of your work
• Comfortable with remote work and collaboration
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
