SquarePeg is working with an innovative, fast-growing software company to find a Software Engineer, Baseline Integration. The job description is below:
We are looking for an experienced Ethereum developer to help us build out a proof-of-concept solution demonstrating an integration between the Baseline Protocol and the Internet Computer. The Baseline Protocol uses a blockchain to deposit cryptographic proofs that confirm consistency between different record-keeping systems in business-to-business workflows, each of which consist of some set of worksteps. Typically, a public mainnet such as Ethereum is used for this purpose, which is costly given current gas prices. The PoC would explore the Internet Computer as an scalable option for “backing up” these cryptographic proofs.
Responsibilities

- This is a short-term contract position (3-6 months) with the potential for full-time employment, likely focused on additional projects, integrations, and collaborations with the Ethereum community.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in blockchain and distributed systems
- A deep understanding of Rust and Solidity
- Experience with zero-knowledge proofs and L2 scalability solutions
- Experience with WebAssembly a plus
- Proven experience writing complete, well-tested, web applications
- In-Depth understanding & experience with a modern database like PostgreSQL
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
