Software Engineer - Algorithms and Data Structure Specialist

My client, a global powerhouse within the technology industry, is looking for a Software Engineer - Algorithms and Data Structure Specialist to join their team in Cambridge on an initial 4 month contract.
The team is responsible for improving functionality and performance of Excel Online. They have done this by implementing Excel's calc engine client-side, in TypeScript, using modern Programming Language techniques.
They are looking to hire an engineer to extend and complete this project. The engineer's core responsibilities will be:
- Implement logical, mathematical, grid, database, date, etc libraries;
- Test correctness of these libraries;
Requirements
Top 3 skills
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Proven experience in programming (C++ necessary; JavaScript/TypeScript too would be ideal)
- Experience of perf analysis of web/node.js application
Other Required Skills
- Some experience setting up and running build, compile, test, CI/CD pipelines
- Be able to collaborate and work with multiple disciplines (PM, dev, design, research)
