Software Developer

Our client, an NHS organisation based in Sussex, is currently recruiting for a Software (Azure) Developer within the IT Team on a contract basis for 3+ months (up to 18 months for the right candidate). The main purpose of the role is to deliver high quality software. This will include actively participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle through an Agile approach.

This will include; understanding requirements, participating in design meetings, developing and implementing high quality code and subsequently consulting with clients to refine, test and debug programmes to meet business needs.

N.B.: There will be the facility to work from home, but they need to start on site (in East Sussex) and will need to be able to come on to site whenever is required.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop, test and implement new software programs
• Design and update software. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces
• Independently install, customise and integrate software packages
• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Resolve complex technical design issues
• Development of technical specifications and plans

Key Technical Skills Required

• Experience of working with the .Net Standard and Core Frameworks
• Experience of Continuous Integration & Deployment experience. (Azure Devops and Terraforms)
• Developing solutions in Azure cloud and use of services (eg service bus , event grid)
• ASP.Net Core / MVC
• Asp Web API .Net Core 2.1 &3.1
• Strong Proficiency in C# with good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Previous experience of VB.Net a plus.
• SQL, HTML, CSS
• JavaScript incl. good understanding of modern JS libraries and workflows (WebPack, SPA etc.)

Duration:     3 months initially (with the possibility of extension up to 18 months)
Location:     Mix of remote working and onsite in East Sussex
Rate:           £ 221.71 daily via Umbrella (INSIDE IR35)
