Our client is looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Developer/ Lead Developer to join a growing team on a contract basis. It will be remote working while the travel restrictions are in place.

The day to day duties of the role will design, develop and maintain great solutions for their customers. You will lead and work as part of a small, agile and dynamic team based in Exeter. This role requires an ability to investigate, research and solve technical challenges, working closely with decision makers in other departments, identifying, recommending, documenting and implementing high quality, cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. Solutions you develop will have both external and internal impact, visible to external customers and partners, and improving the efficiency. The right person will have proven experience in:
PHP (Ideally PHP 7), MySQL, working with MVC frameworks in a Linux environment
In-depth knowledge of front-end standards such as HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery
Building complex software systems in an agile environment
Cloud technologies - Azure/AWS
Communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management, to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Understanding computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis - Designing and building data-driven web applications, integrating with third party RESTful APIs
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, methodical, problem solving ability, and strong time management skills
