Lakeshore Talent is looking for qualified candidates to fill a Software Developer role with a large and well-known healthcare organization located in Englewood, CO. This is a remote position and candidates must currently live in CO.

This is starting as a 3-month contract with strong potential to be extended. Starting pay is $70+/hour.

JOB DUTIES
  • Create the best, effective API layer using modern technologies like Java (Spring, Grails, etc) or NodeJS.
  • Team daily with System Administrators, fellow Engineers, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to build and deliver efficient and well documented APIs.
  • Author code and automated tests, participate in code reviews and enthusiastically participate as a proud member of our Agile team.
  • Occasionally interface with our business units to fully understand project goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Have formal software development training and/or practical experience building API libraries in Java or JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of modern backend architectures
  • Hands on knowledge in implementing RESTFul services in either Java or NodeJS
  • Hands on experience working in Apigee API management environment; Mulesoft, Anypoint or Azure API Manager are less desirable, but advantageous. 
  • Experience developing fast and efficient APIs and integrating Microservices
  • Good experience in MSSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB
  • Good knowledge of security best practices, OAuth and SAML
  • Solid JavaScript foundation and good understanding of core JS (ES6/7)
  • Solid Object Oriented Programming experience
  • Agile/Scrum SDLC advocate
  • Hands on experience with full testing cycles including automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing
  • Enjoy working in our collaborative environment that balances team-wide communication (e.g., daily stand-ups, chat discussions, code review), occasional pair programming sessions, and frequent blocks of focused, uninterrupted work time for independent work.
  • Have real project experience using Git or some similar distributed source code platform
  • Are passionate about modern best practices, including code reviews, continuous integration and deployment, and iterative development.   
  • Thrive on mentorship, learning, and sharing knowledge.
