(Outside IR35) Software Developer
Initial 6 Month Contract Edinburgh or Glasgow/ Remote Working for the foreseeable JavaScript/ AWS/ NodeJs/Microservices Legacy Finance Systems We're looking for an experienced developer to accelerate our clients move away from their legacy finance systems.
What you need to know
You will work on the development of new serverless microservices using AWS Lambda functions and Typescript/Javascript. The initial priority for the team is the stabilisation and upgrade to the latest version of our existing finance system, so a working knowledge of shell scripting languages, such as Bash, and Oracle databases, would be a plus
You must have demonstratable experience in the following areas:
Developing and testing modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript Development of AWS Lambda services Delivering high quality software collaboratively in high-performing, cross-functional development teams. Developing within Digital First or GDS quality standards Developing solutions using human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices Designing and implementing solutions using service and event-based architectures Using testing tools for unit testing, including system test automation frameworks Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes, including Grafana Incrementally replacing enterprise legacy systems Nice to haves:
AWS S3, Cloud Formation, Aurora/Postgres, API Gateway AWS CDK and/or Cloud Formation infrastructure as code Java and/or Python Node JS Scripting languages, especially Bash Oracle databases Next Steps
