Software Architect
My client is looking for a PHP Software Architect to join an existing team providing authority to define technical solutions and explore new technologies to support their eCommerce sales solution architecture within the energy industry.
Role
Review of current development life cycle including recommendations
Building into life cycle to make it more predictable for quality and timeframe
Push environment in direction with their internal/external plug ins, don't touch core and pushing towards opensource solution
Identify and design the appropriate web software solutions to support eCommerce Websites for Telco and Energy products, within the current architecture of Joomla, Virtuemart and Java supporting services using AWS
Translate technical and functional user requirements into a functioning technical solution
Weekly meeting with the CTO and daily scrum meetings
Drive the design and the development of reusable web software solutions, with an eye on configuration and performance
Lead and support a team of developers off-shore from a technical solution implementation
Build blueprint architecture and solution with the use of available extensions and plugins within the CMS Framework a
Experience
6 years Open Source CMS Framework Experience (Joomla CMS is preferred)
4 years PHP programming background (this is a non coding role but quality oversight required)
5+ years exposure and experience within the eCommerce domain
Experience off working within Agile environment with off shore development team
5+ years Telecommunications and Energy Industry Software Development Experience.
This role can be fully remote from the UK with occasional trips to Amsterdam
