Shopify Web Developer – SEO Marketing Specialist

We are currently looking for a Shopify Web Developer and SEO Marketing Specialist to join our team & work on creating our E-Commerce Shopify website, www.mattressbrands.com. We are looking for a multi-tasking person with knowledge and experience on Ecommerce and all forms of digital marketing to improve traffic and sales to our websites and sales channels.

The Digital Marketing and Social Media aspect of the role will conduct marketing activities including content marketing, email newsletters, paid search ads, and social media. Candidates should have an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. This is a part-time contractor position with remote work options and competitive pay.

About You
You are an expert on Shopify administration. You know it like the back of your hand and can probably teach us a thing or two. You know applications that integrate with Shopify, especially those for payments and shipping, and can troubleshoot issues as they arise. Like all good e-commerce administrators, you can pull data into spreadsheets and analyze issues, trends and produce reports.

You operate with a high degree of structure and skill. You're fairly analytical and have a strong drive to master and complete any and all assignments. You have a temperament that allows you to work with routine or repetitive tasks and like that many functions are predictable, systematic, and scheduled. But since e-commerce stores can be a people business too, you're also socially approachable and somewhat outgoing. In short, you get things done and play well with others.

Most Responsibilities

• Develop new E-commerce sites on Shopify
• Build out fully functional Shopify pages
• Create custom integrations between the Shopify platform and third-party applications
• Coordinate to get copy, images, pricing, SKU, weights for each product or service
• Create and monitor discount codes for various uses
• Create site-wide weekly promotions on site and update accordingly
• Confirm all orders have shipped properly throughout the day and from previous day
• Troubleshoot website or app errors
• Research, download, install Shopify apps as needed
• Communicate site errors, order errors or new site processes
• Update Shopify settings as needed
• Improve our use of Shopify by researching and optimizing strategies
• Implementing third-party solutions & apps
• Ensuring consistently excellent performance on all major devices/browsers, including fast load times & bug-free core functionality.
• Maintain and generate content for social media to improve traffic and engagement
• Run and lead email marketing campaigns using industry best practices
• Set up and promote sales channels like Amazon/eBay/Wal-Mart to increase sales in all areas
• Research Amazon page keywords and update as necessary
• Perform weekly Amazon and Shopify reporting
• Manage all current and new PPC campaigns, look to develop new campaigns and improve existing campaigns to maximize sales where appropriate
• Be able to create clear interesting copy for use on our website/blogs posts/social media and a like
• Prepare and implement marketing campaigns including Google Ads, email campaigns, social media
• Create content for website, emails and marketing materials
• Develop and manage social media campaigns to achieve sales goals and manage online brand identity
• Optimize campaigns through marketing analytics and SEO strategies
• Maintain existing website to incorporate marketing campaigns, keep product information current, and align with social media campaigns
• Develop graphic components that align with and enhance our brand identity
• Optimize content for republishing for the best SEO results
• Assemble and analyze monthly information, preparing reports, agendas and correspondence when required
• Helping and heading up social media platforms including Flipboard, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram
• In-depth knowledge of offsite SEO with an established track record of improving organic rankings across Google & Yahoo for all aspects of search. Up to date in all SEO trends along with Google Webmaster Tools / Google Analytics and all search algorithm changes
• Practice on-site optimization in all forms of SEO, website edits, content creation and keyword/long tail keywords discovery to improve ranking and visibility
• Skilled in audits and digital tracking websites like Google Analytics, to track and monitor all results

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years recent extensive knowledge of both Shopify & Shopify Plus platform.
• Experience with popular Shopify apps & third-party integrations.
• Five (5) years of e-commerce experience on any store platform
• Fluency in common web development languages, including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery frameworks
• Experience developing front-end web applications that perform well on all devices using modern languages & frameworks.
• Experience with Shopify liquid and scripts.
• Experience with marketing including online, print, and email
• Experience with SEO, content marketing, email marketing, paid search
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• 3+ years of experience with an emphasis on social media and website management
• Expertise in Google Adwords, social media marketing, email marketing, and website maintenance
• Highly skilled in written and visual communications, comfortable drafting email marketing as well as managing social media platforms
• Experienced in multi-platform content management
