Title: Senior UX/UI Designer (Web)
Duration: 3+ Months Contract to Hire
Location: Dallas, TX (Position allows for remote work during COVID but will convert to on-site once COVID subsides)
Job Description:
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ve mastered product design from concept to execution, but remain curious to learn more and are open to giving and receiving critical feedback. You love hands-on work, you’re a true visual thinker, and you’re full of empathy for users. You have a lot of energy and enthusiasm. You think big, you love frameworks, and are excited about joining a fast-paced, growing organization that puts design and patients at the heart of its work.
Responsibilities:
• Translate concepts and requirements into an end-to-end user experience and choose the appropriate medium and fidelity
• Translate client branding into a digital design language that scales across different platforms
• Understand who your users are and what they need to make informed healthcare decisions for them and their families
• Work hand-in-hand with the Product Manager to bring concepts and requirements to life
• Build interactive prototypes to test your ideas and communicate them internally and externally
• Ability to influence design direction and decisions based on rationale, user insights, and feedback
• Perform usability tests to validate your designs with patients
• Iterate quickly and explore multiple solutions for a given problem
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers to take experiences from concept to delivery
• Ability to successfully give and receive critical design feedback to push the experience to the next level
• Build frameworks to support a fast-paced, growing organization: style guides/design system, workflows, collaboration tools, etc.
Requirements:
• 5-8 years as a UX/UI designer for high-traffic websites or consumer-focused web experiences
• Experience designing scalable digital experiences from web to mobile
• Impressive creative portfolio demonstrating your awesome work (bonus points if you can demonstrate a diverse range of projects)
• Effortless communication/presentation skills, natural collaborator
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and a willingness to adapt and customize them as needed
• Evangelize design best practices across mediums (responsive web, mobile)
• Expert knowledge of Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
• Knowledge of the User Testing platform
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS
Bonus:
• Healthcare design experience
• Ability to code static pages using HTML/CSS
• Motion design (experience with Lottie, After Effects, or similar)
• Illustration skills.
