Senior UX Designer/Strategist (x2)
Role: Senior User Experience Designer / Design Strategist Type: Contract Location: Bristol (UK Remote working applicable) Duration: 6-9 Months Start: ASAP IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella) Pay Rate: £550 per day
CPS Group UK are delighted to be seeking two Senior User Experience Designers to work with a leading organisation in Bristol, for an initial term of 6 months (extension likely). Working as part of the core design team, the UX Designers will provide provision and support for all UX requirements and activities across a number of exciting projects. The UX Designers must have a strategic mindset and understand how to align business requirements to customer and user's needs.
Role Requirements
* Project manage all aspects of the design phase from strategic planning, research and design, on the projects you are responsible for. * Translating high-level requirements into simple yet effective user experiences that champions the customer and user and drives the product roadmap. * Provide strategic direction on UX activities and briefs when necessary: making sure user insights align with business objectives * Conduct research to inform design decisions. * Planning and executing research projects, drawing on research from various areas of the business: analytics, customer insight, help-desk interviews, and competitor analysis, amongst others * Supporting and collaborating closely with UI designers, product owners and developers to help create and deliver intuitive and delightful user experiences * Leading collaborative design workshops and usability testing sessions, amongst other research methodologies * Information architecture * Mapping customer and user journeys and developing personas * Sketching, concept creating and wireframing * Creating clickable prototypes * Assist in the creation of user stories to feed into a SCRUM based agile development team * Effectively communicating any ideas, prototypes and final designs to internal stakeholders and peers, with the ability to take on constructive feedback
Candidate Specification
* 5+ years' demonstrable experience as a UX Designer * Proficient and confident using Axure * Working together with clients to understand detailed requirements * Designing complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision * Using UX best practices to design solutions * Deep understanding of responsive design * Efficiently and intelligently iterating designs and solutions * Communicating design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients both clearly and effectively * Building interactive wireframes (prototypes) using Axure * Following an iterative User-Centred Design process * Working collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary, agile team * Conducting research and user testing
