Senior UX Designer (Remote/Contract)

Senior UX Designer

We're looking for a hands-on Senior UX Designer with prior e-commerce experience to work on web design systems from end to end. Candidates should have a strong visual design sense that is customer centric. This is a contract role with the opportunity to work in a remote capacity. Seattle residents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Key responsibilities may include but aren’t limited to:
• Partnering with the Art Director, designers, front-end developers, and other team members to create design concepts that visually express attributes of the brand and serve the intended user experience.
• Balancing marketing objectives, the Microsoft brand, and product requirements to creatively adapt them in beautiful meaningful ways.
• Working on a design system end to end
• Staying up to date with the latest design and technology trends
• Ability to manage workload and bandwidth
• Designing responsive interactive solutions
• Creating wireframes, interaction models, visual design specs, and delivering final assets in Figma
• Communicating with the front end developers and having a strong understanding of how to set up, document, and stress test files before handing them over.

Qualifications

• 5yr+ experience
• Expertise in Figma
• Fierce attention to detail
• UX and UI experience
• Prototyping experience
• Portfolio with relevant experience
• Expertise in Adobe creative suite
• Experience designing responsive across various viewports (mobile, tablet, desktop)

While not required, the following qualifications would set you apart from other candidates:

• Motion design experience
• Front end dev experience
• IA experience
• Storytelling / content creation experience
• Ecommerce / retail experience
