Senior UX Designer (Outside IR35)

We are currently recruiting for Senior UX Designer (multiple positions) to join a top 4 UK banking organisation. The head office is based in Canary Wharf, London.

Daily rate: £450 - £550 per day, outside IR35

Duration: 3 months initially

Tentative Start Date: ASAP

Location: Canary Wharf, London or Knutsford, Cheshire

Role Profile

We are ideally looking for someone with a strong understanding of broken journeys and who has done some user testing or research briefs. You need to have worked on something quite complex and be able to connect data together.

There is a lot of proposition work and so you will have the opportunity to move from project to project if you do well and are a good team fit.

You will work on omni-channel designs for mobile, desktop and web. You'll be expected to use Sketch as design tools and proto.io/InDesign or Marvel for prototype creation. The work also consists of UX wireframe flow creation and delivery of assets, information architecture and you will also need to run design workshops. There may also be some UI work, although no creation of icons or graphics.

There is some research required in this role also in the sense that you will work alongside a research team and you'll need to be able to ask the right questions to get what you need. The work is on complex systems and you will design from real data / user feedback.

Required Skills and Competencies

Essential:

• Ideally 5+ years of experience designing for complex systems and be able to understand how to design from real data / user feedback,
• Omni channel design experience with mobile, desktop and web design
• Proficient in the use of Sketch as design tools, proto.io/InDesign or Marvel for prototype creation
• UX Wireframe flow creation and assets delivery, information architecture and can run design workshops.
• Understand of user research, good if they have done some research in the past. Being able to ask the research team the right questions
• Understanding of UI design don't need to create icons or graphics
• Someone who is a natural collaborator
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Experience in design for mobile, tablet and desktop, including responsive and adaptive design.
• Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines, customer & colleague insight, and stakeholder feedback to designs and deliverables.
• Customer and colleague empathy.
• Must be able to work quickly to deadlines and manage time and priorities effectively.
• Good understanding of industry abbreviations and the attitude to find out for yourself.
