Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Senior Solution Architect to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:
Provides technical creativity in the development and implementation of innovative solutions in the area of Cloud, IT infrastructure, DevSecOps, and Security services. Identifies and develops Unisys discriminators that lead to business capture success. Develop technical demonstrations, develop innovative solutions in lab environment, and support customer presentations. Support business capture and proposal development. Support engineering project delivery to contract programs as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing innovative capabilities and building solution demonstrations.
Support proposal delivery in the capacity of technical subject matter expert. Provide solution content to address PWS requirements.
Identify and develop tools, technology, methods, services and solutions that position Unisys as a recognized leader for our Federal Clients.
Engage with teaming partners and vendors to integrate their products and services with Unisys solutions.
Design and integrate leading-edge, business-critical solutions for major, enterprise-wide solutions
Ensure that all design artifacts and deliverables are developed to the highest quality standards
Effectively communicate with all levels of management in areas related to solution architecture and future technical strategy.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with partners, vendors, and other Unisys business units.

Requirements

Required:
B.S. degree and 17 years experience
Must have at least 3 years of hands on experience in operating and managing public cloud services (Azure or AWS preferred). Must have strong experience with public and hybrid cloud management solutions, including cloud pricing, metering, billing, monitoring, provisioning, backup, disaster recovery, configuration management, cloud DevOps.
Must have at least 5 years of hands on experience in VMWare.
Must have at least 3 years of hands on experience working with DevOps and infrastructure-as-a-code solutions, such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, etc.
Excellent skills in Linux and Windows OS.
Must be experienced with SAN/NAS storage, data center networking, and LDAP technologies.
Must be experienced with security technologies in the area of Identity and Access Management, End Point protection and host based security, network security, and common SIEM tools.
Must be experienced with common system monitoring and management solutions.
Strong capability and extensive experience in capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs, including the ability to articulate those concepts both verbally and in writing.
Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe.
Experience of performing architectural design in the area of cloud, network, storage, security, mobility, and data center technologies applicable for federal clients.
Strong intellectual curiosity in exploring and learning new technologies, technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques; ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate technical solution strategy.
Experienced in delivering presentations, supporting meeting discussions with customers and team members at all levels, authoring marketing presentations for conferences or opportunity shaping.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Desired:
Experienced with container/microservice, and Kubernetes technologies.
DoD Secret clearance or above
